Creating a science of games
Really cool looking section in the latest Communications of the ACM v50i7. Some highlights:
- Games for science and engineering education by Merrilea J. Mayo
- Games for training by Ralph E. Chatham
- How to build serious games by Henry Kelly, Kay Howell, Eitan Glinert, Loring Holding, Chris Swain, Adam Burrowbridge, Michelle Roper
- Using storytelling to motivate programming by Caitlin Kelleher, Randy Pausch
There's a lot of other very interesting stuff from this issue which I'll highlight in a later post.
